What this card does

This card stays in play until another Stadium card is played.

It places one damage counter on each player's Pokemon with a Poké-Power between turns.

What it does

Cursed Stone

This card stays in play when you play it. Discard this card if another Stadium card comes into play. If another card with the same name is in play, you can't play this card. At any time between turns, each player puts 1 damage counter on his or her Pokémon that has a Poké-Power.

The Cursed Stone targets Pokemon that use special abilities called Poké-Powers. It adds damage to them automatically before the next turn starts.

Which deck it belongs in

This card suits decks built around Pokemon with strong Poké-Powers. It works best in a mirror match where both players rely on these abilities.

Strengths
  • Targets specific abilities
  • Passive damage
  • Controlled battlefield
Watch out for
  • Hurts own team too
  • Easy to discard
  • Single target effect
Pro tip

Play this only when your opponent has more vulnerable Pokemon with Poké-Powers than you do.

Good to know

Cursed Stone is a Trainer card that affects the game state rather than a Pokemon from the series.

Note for the parent

Remind your child that playing this card risks hurting their own Pokemon as well.
