Rotated Out

A powerful Stadium card that limits how many Pokemon each player can keep on the bench.

StadiumBeginner to play

What this card does

Each player is restricted to having a maximum of four Benched Pokemon at any time.

If a player has five or more Benched Pokemon they must discard extras until only four remain.

The player who played this card discards first when reducing their bench count.

What it does

Collapsed Stadium

Each player can't have more than 4 Benched Pokémon. If a player has 5 or more Benched Pokémon, they discard Benched Pokémon until they have 4 Pokémon on the Bench. The player who played this card discards first. If more than one effect changes the number of Benched Pokémon allowed, use the smaller number.

This card forces both players to keep a smaller bench of Pokemon. It matters because it stops your child from building up a large army of reserves while forcing you to manage your own resources carefully.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that rely on strong attacks rather than many weak Pokemon. It also fits strategies that benefit from disrupting an opponent's ability to store multiple Pokemon.

Strengths
  • Bench control
  • Resource denial
  • Strategic disruption
Watch out for
  • Self-imposed limit
  • Discard timing
  • Counter play
Pro tip

Play this card early to force your opponent to discard Pokemon before they can use them.

Good to know

Stadium cards are unique location effects that change the rules of the game for everyone.

Note for the parent

Remind your child to check their bench count after playing this card so they do not accidentally discard a key Pokemon.
