What this card does
Claydol ex starts as a Psychic type with 120 HP.
You can use its Ability Type Shift to change its type to Fighting once per turn.
It has two attacks: Psychic Boom deals extra damage based on the opponent's energy, and Shadow Crush discards an opponent's Energy card.
Type Shift
Once during your turn (before your attack), you may use this power. Claydol ex's type is Fighting until the end of your turn.
The key feature is Ability Type Shift. This allows you to change Claydol ex from Psychic to Fighting type before attacking. It matters because it lets you avoid weaknesses or exploit resistances for a full turn.
Attacks
Does 20 damage plus 10 more damage for each Energy attached to the Defending Pokémon.
You may discard a Psychic Energy card attached to Claydol ex. If you do, discard an Energy card attached to the Defending Pokémon.
