Charon's Choice

Rotated Out

A rare Supporter card that lets you swap Rotom Pokémon while keeping the card safe for next turn.

SupporterBeginner to play

What this card does

You place this card next to your Active Pokemon instead of discarding it.

When your turn ends, you get the card back in your hand.

You search your deck for a Rotom and switch it with one already in play.

What it does

Charon's Choice

You can play only one Supporter card each turn. When you play this card, put it next to your Active Pokémon. When your turn ends, put this card into your hand instead of discarding it. Search your deck for any Rotom and switch it with any Rotom you have in play. Any cards attached to Rotom and damage counters on it are now on the new Pokémon. (Remove all Special Conditions and effects from Rotom.) Put Rotom on top of your deck. Shuffle your deck afterward.

This card allows you to refresh a damaged or afflicted Rotom by swapping it for a fresh one from your deck. It is useful because you keep the Supporter card for future turns instead of losing it immediately.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks built around Rotom as a key piece of strategy. You need multiple Rotom cards in your deck to make this swap effective.

Strengths
  • Recovers damaged Pokemon
  • Removes negative status effects
  • Reusable resource
Watch out for
  • Uses up the Supporter limit
  • Requires specific deck build
  • Shuffles the deck
Pro tip

Check if the Rotom in play has any Special Conditions before swapping, as these will be cleared on the new one.

Good to know

Rotom is known for possessing electronic devices and changing its form based on what it inhabits.

Note for the parent

Remember that your child can only play one Supporter card per turn, so this action uses up their main move for the round.
