SupporterBeginner to play

What this card does

You place this card next to your Active Pokemon.

It stays there until the end of your turn.

You draw two cards from your deck.

What it does

Buck's Training

You can play only one Supporter card each turn. When you play this card, put it next to your Active Pokémon. When your turn ends, discard this card. Draw 2 cards. As long as Buck's Training is next to your Active Pokémon, each of your Active Pokémon's attacks does 10 more damage to the Active Pokémon (before applying Weakness and Resistance).

This Supporter card acts as a short term power up for your battle. It increases the damage of your Active Pokemon's attacks by 10 points before any weaknesses or resistances are calculated.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that rely on strong single hits to knock out opponent Pokemon quickly. You can use it to close out games when you have enough Energy attached to your Active Pokemon.

Strengths
  • Extra damage boost
  • Card draw benefit
  • Simple timing rule
Watch out for
  • Lasts only one turn
  • One Supporter limit
  • Must be discarded quickly
Pro tip

Play this card when your Active Pokemon has enough Energy to deal the final blow with the extra 10 damage.

Good to know

Buck is a character from the Pokemon Legends Arceus game who helps train new Pokémon Rangers.

Note for the parent

Remember that you can only play one Supporter card per turn, so this is a big decision for your child to make.
