What this card does

You must play this card only when it is the very last card in your hand.

It allows you to draw one card for every Pokémon on your bench and your opponent's bench.

What it does

Brandon

You can use this card only when it is the last card in your hand. Draw a card for each Benched Pokémon (both yours and your opponent's).

This card turns a risky situation into a big advantage. By emptying your hand first, you can suddenly fill it with many new cards based on how many creatures are in play.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that have ways to discard their hand quickly or build up a large bench of Pokémon. It works best when you can control the number of benched monsters to maximise the draw.

Strengths
  • Massive card draw
  • Uncommon rarity
  • Bench teamwork
Watch out for
  • Must empty hand first
  • Depends on bench size
  • Last card requirement
Pro tip

Use other cards to discard your hand down to just this one, then play Brandon to get a huge number of new options.

Good to know

Brandon is known as the Fire-type Gym Leader in the original games.

Note for the parent

Explain to your child that they must be careful with their last card, as this is the only time they can use Brandon.
