Blastoise GX
Rotated OutA tough Water type that deals massive damage by recycling its own energy.
What this card does
Reduces incoming damage by 30 points thanks to the Solid Shell ability.
Shuffles Water Energy back into the deck and deals 60 damage for each card shuffled.
Heals itself or boosts other Pokemon by attaching any number of Water Energy cards from hand.
Solid Shell
This Pokémon takes 30 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance).
The key feature is the Rocket Splash attack. It lets your child send extra Water Energy cards back into their deck to increase the damage of this single move. This means they can deal huge amounts of damage in one turn if they have enough energy ready.
Attacks
Shuffle any amount of Water Energy from your Pokémon into your deck. This attack does 60 damage for each card you shuffled into your deck in this way.
Attach any number of Water Energy cards from your hand to your Pokémon in any way you like. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)
Abilities
This Pokémon takes 30 less damage from attacks (after applying Weakness and Resistance).
Which deck it belongs in
This card suits a fast Water deck that wants to hit hard and recover resources quickly. It works well with other cards that help shuffle or search for Energy.
- •High damage output
- •Damage reduction
- •Energy recovery
- •Weak to Grass types
- •One GX attack limit
- •Requires Water Energy
Use Rocket Splash when you have many Water Energy cards attached to maximise the damage count.
Blastoise has water cannons on its shell that can shoot with enough pressure to pierce through steel.
Remind your child they can only use the Giant Geyser GX attack once per entire game, so save it for when it is most needed.
