Blastoise & Piplup GX
Rotated OutA powerful TAG TEAM-GX Pokémon that controls the board with water energy and paralysis.
What this card does
Splash Maker lets you attach up to three Water Energy cards from your hand to any of your Pokémon and heal damage.
Bubble Launcher GX paralyzes the opponent's Active Pokémon and deals extra damage if you have enough Water Energy attached.
Splash Maker
You may attach up to 3 Water Energy cards from your hand to your Pokémon in any way you like. If you do, heal 50 damage from those Pokémon for each card you attached to them in this way. (150 damage)
This card allows you to rapidly build up energy resources while healing your team. The GX attack adds a status effect that hinders the opponent, making it a strong strategic tool.
Attacks
You may attach up to 3 Water Energy cards from your hand to your Pokémon in any way you like. If you do, heal 50 damage from those Pokémon for each card you attached to them in this way.
Your opponent’s Active Pokémon is now Paralyzed. If this Pokémon has at least 3 extra Water Energy attached to it (in addition to this attack’s cost), this attack does 150 more damage. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)
Which deck it belongs in
It suits aggressive Water-type decks that focus on quickly attaching multiple Energy cards. It works well in strategies that aim to overwhelm the opponent with high damage and board control.
- •High HP
- •Board control
- •Healing capability
- •Weak to Grass
- •One-time GX use
- •Energy dependency
Use Splash Maker early to set up energy and heal, then switch to Bubble Launcher GX when the opponent is vulnerable.
Blastoise has water cannons on its shell that can shoot powerful jets of water.
Remind your child they can only use the Bubble Launcher GX attack once per entire game, so they should save it for a key moment.
