Black Belt's Training

A one-turn punch up against big ex Pokémon.

SupporterBeginner to play
Plays in: N's Zoroark ex

What this card does

For the rest of this turn, your Pokémon's attacks deal 40 more damage to the opponent's Active ex Pokémon.

It helps your attacker reach the knockout on a tough ex that would otherwise survive.

What it does

Black Belt's Training

During this turn, attacks used by your Pokémon do 40 more damage to your opponent's Active Pokémon ex (before applying Weakness and Resistance).

You play this Supporter and, for the rest of the turn, every attack you make hits the opponent's Active ex Pokémon for 40 extra damage. It only adds damage against ex Pokémon, so it does nothing to ordinary Pokémon. It is a one-turn boost, so you usually play it on the turn you plan to take the knockout.

Which deck it belongs in

Decks that need to knock out large ex Pokémon and are just short on damage.

Strengths
  • Closes the gap to knock out high-HP ex Pokémon
  • Cheap to use, costing only the Supporter for the turn
  • Stacks with the attacker's normal damage
Watch out for
  • It does nothing against Pokémon that are not ex
  • Using it means no other Supporter that turn

Pairs well with

N's Zoroark ex
N's Zoroark ex

A strong attacker that can use the extra 40 to finish big ex targets.

Pro tip

Save it for the turn you can actually take the knockout, since the boost lasts only that turn.

Good to know

A finisher Supporter, it turns a near miss into a knockout against ex Pokémon.

Note for the parent

Think of it as a short training session that lets your child's attacker hit harder for just one turn, and only against the biggest opposing cards.
