What this card does

Bursting Burn burns and confuses the opponent's active Pokemon.

Mind Blown deals 50 damage for every Fire Energy card you discard to the Lost Zone.

Burst GX lets you take an opponent's prize card and potentially recycle an Energy.

Signature attack

Mind Blown

Put any amount of Fire Energy attached to your Pokémon in the Lost Zone. This attack does 50 damage for each card put in the Lost Zone in this way. (50× damage)

The Mind Blown attack is powerful because its damage scales with how many Fire Energy cards you are willing to destroy. You must balance dealing heavy damage against losing your own energy resources for future turns.

Discard 1 of your Prize cards. If it’s an Energy card, attach it to 1 of your Pokémon. (You can’t use more than 1 GX attack in a game.)

Which deck it belongs in

This card suits aggressive decks that can quickly rebuild their energy supply or use the Lost Zone strategically. It works best when paired with other fire types that benefit from discarding energy.

Strengths
  • High damage potential
  • Prize card control
  • Status infliction
Watch out for
  • Destroys own resources
  • One time use per game
  • Water weakness
Pro tip

Use Mind Blown when you have excess energy attached but need to end the game quickly before your opponent can recover.

From the Pokédex

Blacephalon is known as the Firework Pokemon and its head explodes like a firework when it uses its powers.

Note for the parent

Ask your child to explain why they chose to discard energy instead of keeping it for a safer attack next turn.
