TrainerBeginner to play

What this card does

You attach this to one of your Grass, Fire, Water, Lightning, Psychic, Fighting, Darkness, or Metal Pokemon.

Once per turn, after flipping coins for an attack, you can choose to ignore the results and flip again.

What it does

Backtrack Badge

Once during your turn, after you flip any coins for an attack of the {C} Pokémon this card is attached to, you may ignore all results of those coin flips and begin flipping those coins again.

This card gives you a second chance if your initial coin flips do not go well. It matters because it reduces the risk of missing attacks that rely on specific outcomes like heads or tails.

Which deck it belongs in

It suits decks that use Pokemon with attacks requiring multiple coin flips to succeed. You will find it useful in strategies where consistency is key to winning.

Strengths
  • •Reduces bad luck
  • •Increases attack reliability
  • •Single use per turn
Watch out for
  • •Only one use per turn
  • •Must be attached to a Pokemon
  • •Does not work on all attacks
Pro tip

Use this card when the first flip fails but the second flip could still succeed.

Good to know

Trainer cards like this represent special items or gear that help trainers in battle.
