Ampharos V
Rotated OutA powerful Lightning type that spreads confusion and damages weaker opponents.
What this card does
It uses Dazzle Blast to confuse the opponent's active Pokemon.
It uses Damaging Spark to deal heavy damage to the main target.
It deals extra damage to benched Pokemon that already have damage counters.
Damaging Spark
This attack also does 30 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon that has any damage counters on it. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.) (120 damage)
The key feature is Damaging Spark. It hits the active Pokemon hard and also damages other targets if they are already hurt. This makes it effective against decks that spread damage around.
Attacks
Your opponent's Active Pokémon is now Confused.
This attack also does 30 damage to each of your opponent's Benched Pokémon that has any damage counters on it. (Don't apply Weakness and Resistance for Benched Pokémon.)
Which deck it belongs in
This card suits aggressive Lightning decks. It works well when you can quickly put damage counters on your opponent's bench.
- •Heavy damage output
- •Confusion status effect
- •Bench clearing capability
- •Fighting weakness
- •Requires specific energy
- •Ineffective on fresh benches
Use Dazzle Blast first to confuse the active Pokemon. This makes it harder for your opponent to attack back effectively.
Ampharos stores electricity in its body and can glow brightly to guide lost travellers.
Check the weakness to Fighting cards before playing.
